22 Jakarta Neighborhoods Remain Flooded Tuesday Morning

Jakarta’s Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) reported Tuesday morning that 22 neighborhood units (RT) and five roads in West and North Jakarta remain flooded. Floodwaters are currently hovering between 4 and 14 inches (10–35 cm).

In West Jakarta, BPBD Head Isnawa Adji confirmed nine neighborhoods are still affected, specifically five in Tegal Alur and four in Kedoya Selatan.

As for North Jakarta, 13 neighborhood units are still flooded. The breakdown includes five blocks in Warakas and three in Semper Barat, with others in Kalibaru, Sukapura, Lagoa, and Tanjung Priok. Floodwaters in the northern region are holding steady at depths of 10 to 35 centimeters.

West, South Jakarta Bracing for Potential Heavy Rain

"North Jakarta floodwaters are holding steady at 10 to 35 centimeters," he explained.

As of Tuesday morning, five roads remain flooded, specifically outside Ancol Station, the naval base (Lantamal) on Jalan Gunung Sahari, and Pluit Sea View area. Jalan Kampung Bahari and Jalan Syech Nawawi Al Bantani also reported significant pooling.

"Waters are receding, and affected roads have reopened to traffic," he explained.

Residents are urged to stay vigilant as localized flooding remains a possibility.

"For those in need of immediate assistance, the city’s 112 emergency hotline is available free of charge, 24 hours a day," he stated.
